We actively promote technological improvements to bring environmental conservation benefits to our products. In terms of product design and development, there are two key elements

• Improving duplex copying
• Reducing energy consumption.

Duplex copying - Duplex copy options allow customers to halve their paper consumption by printing both sides of the paper. In the past duplexing has been slow and as a result, not as popular with customers as it could be. However, improved technology (including advanced paper feed methods) mean that our duplex copy speeds often match those of simplex printing - making duplex an effective, paper-saving option for all our customers.

Energy use - A considerable amount of energy is used during the printing and copying process; transferring toner from the thermal drum to the paper, and then heating the paper so that the toner does not rub off the paper. But by using more effective toner transfer technology, increasing energy efficiency and installing appropriate wattage heaters, we have improved performance and so efficiency on our machines.

Our products carry environmental labels so that our customers can see that our products meet set international standards. We use four recognisable labels as well as own environmental standard mark:

	International Energy Star Mark - Only products whose power consumption while idle is below a certain standard can be sold with this mark. We are proud that our company has been awarded this mark for all applicable products.
	RESY Mark / Germany - The RESY mark certifies that product packaging for shipping satisfies RESY technical standards. It also guarantees that shipping packaging paper will be collected in Germany. Our packaging material designs have been meeting RESY standards since 1993
	Nordic Swan Mark/Scandinavia - The Nordic Swan Mark is an eco-label system used by the Scandinavian countries since 1989. Since 1997, several of our machines have been awarded this label
	Blue Angel Mark - Strict specifications laid down by the German Federal Environment Agency govern the production processes from manufacture to disposal, and have been met on many of our products.
