Our Philosophy

At NRG we have made a long-standing commitment to environmental conservation. This ranges from how much paper we can recycle in our own offices, to making our customers clearer about environmental issues, such as the energy consumption of the products that we sell them. Our three key aims are:

  • To reduce our consumption of energy-generating fuels while running our business
  • To introduce recycling programmes for all our products, supplies and packaging to save precious resources
  • To prevent pollution by using non-harmful materials in our products and processes

Business Success

Environmental conservation is one of our fundamental business principles and part of our definition of a 'successful' company. As part of our environmental action plan, all our operating companies work to comply with the International Organisation of Standardisation 14001 environmental management system. This standard is a benchmark for the success that we have achieved in lessening the environmental impact of our activities.

Sustainable Actions

We aim to comply with, and if possible exceed, all domestic and EU environmental regulations. We also set our own targets to reduce stress on the environment. For example, all NRG operating companies must consider their impact on the environment in terms of energy consumption, resources and waste.

At every stage of our business cycle, from planning, procurement, sales, logistics and service to recycling and disposal, we endeavour to make sure our operations and products have minimal environmental impact. We also promote technological improvements that will benefit the environment within our business operations, and constantly re-evaluate our activities to improve environmental conservation.

In addition, in every country where we do business, we maintain close ties with the local community, through our distributors, on environmental issues.

Openness

Environmental conservation activities cannot be a success without the understanding and support of each and every one of our staff. We have established educational programmes to grow knowledge and awareness of environmental conservation issues to all our employees. Together, with open minds, we can make a difference.
